Objective To investigate serum levels of IL- 33 and IL- 5 in patients with al ergic rhinitis (AR) and bronchial asthma (BA). Methods The study included 43 patients with AR, 41 patients with BA, 39 patients with AR combined with BA and 40 healthy subjects (control group). The serum levels of IL- 33 and IL- 5 were measured by ELISA. Results The levels of IL- 33 and IL- 5 in AR group, BA group and AR+BA group were significantly higher than those in control group (P<0.05). Among al patients, IL- 33 and IL- 5 levels in AR+BA were the highest, fol owed by those in AR group and BA group. Serum IL- 33 level was positively correlated with IL- 5 (r=0.254, P<0.05). Conclusion The results indicate that IL- 33 and IL- 5 might be involved in the pathogenesis of AR and BA.%目的:探讨IL-33和IL-5在变应性鼻炎(AR)、支气管哮喘(BA)以及AR合并BA中的作用。方法采用双抗体夹心ELISA法测定43例AR患者(AR组)、41例BA患者(BA组)、39例AR合并BA患者(合并组)及40例正常健康体检者(对照组)血清中的IL-33和IL-5水平。结果与对照组比较,其他各组患者血清IL-33和IL-5水平均明显升高(均P<0.05);与BA组比较,AR组及合并组血清IL-33和IL-5水平明显升高(均P<0.05);与AR组比较,合并组血清IL-33和IL-5水平明显升高(均P<0.05)。血清中IL-33水平与IL-5水平呈直线性正相关(P<0.05)。结论 IL-33和IL-5参与了AR和BA的发病过程。
