摘要

As the health care environment becomes increasingly complex, institutions seek technological solutions to integrate information, facilitate communication between health care teams, and that are platform independent. The emergent Access Grid technology developed by the National Computational Science Alliance offers promise for facilitating collaborative research projects, distance education, and telehealth programs. This poster case study will discuss the use of Access Grid technology to enhance the respective problem-based learning curriculum in the Schools of Medicine in Hawaii and New Mexico. Lessons learned in this project encompass the following categories: project management, curriculum design, technology development, and program evaluation.
