Franklin Park (IL) dispatchers had to evacuate the NORCOMM regional communications center when rising waters from Silver Creek flooded the building, and forced the rescue of at least 50 citizens in nearby neighborhoods. The center, which handles dispatching for two law enforcement agencies and seven fire departments, immediately dispersed dispatchers to other agencies to continue handling telephone calls and radio traffic.
