By the time this is in print, the federal bailout of Wall Street will be well under way. The world's economic problems won't be gone, but, hopefully, the country will be on the way to recovery from the worst financial crisis for the country since the great depression.rnThe government passed a $700 billion bailout bill. That's the figure that Congress and the White House have agreed would be required to save the world's financial institutions, and, in turn, the world's commercial structure. That's just a rough guess, though. Within a few weeks of bailout approval, it already became evident that $700 billion probably won't cover all of the rescue requirements. That's because nobody knows how much of "toxic debt" is being held by whom, how much of that debt still hasn't been accounted for on the books, how much of its book value it has lost, and if it will ever recover an appreciable amount.
