The Fiber Society, AATCC, and the National Textile Center are collaborating on a symposium titled New Frontiers in Fiber Materials Science. The two and a half day program will be held at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, S.C., USA. Julian Vincent, University of Bath, UK, will be a featured speaker. Papers and posters covering fundamental research in the science and engineering of fibers and fibrous materials are invited. Abstracts for oral presentation may be submitted for one of the 16 mini-symposia.
