Controlling shade efficiently, precisely, and consistently from concept to production has its advantages to a retailer. Two advantages include speed to market and increased assortment of color while keeping costs down. In today's economic times, the focus on efficiently maintaining consistent and precise best color practices improves a team's ability to execute to one shade throughout the global supply chain. Dye houses make every effort to control the dye process and fabric to produce goods to one shade for on-time delivery with minimal loss. The use of standard operating procedures for visual and spectrophotometric assessments of color submits and tools such as spectrophotometers enable clear color communication.
