I just wanted to express my sincerest gratitude for being selected by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists as the 2010 AATCC Outstanding College Graduate of the Year. I am extremely humbled by this prestigious award. I definitely did not know that I would be receiving this award and when my name was called up on stage during the NCSU [North Carolina State University] College of Textiles graduation ceremony, it was absolutely a positive surprise.rnOf course, none of my achievements would have been made possible without the support of my friends, family, faculty at the College of Textiles, and AATCC. I also wanted to say thank you very much again for the Charles H. Stone Scholarship. It gave me great encouragement to stay focused on the goals I had set for myself during my scholastic career. I have had an amazing time at NC State these past four years and I cannot believe how fast it went by. I am truly grateful for all the experiences I have had these past four years and I cannot wait to pursue my future endeavors in the next chapter of my life.
