A recent letter ballot for reaffirmation of AATCC Test Method 178-2004, Barre: Visual Assessment and Grading, received a negative vote that stated that while the terminology and description of terms in the method were useful, the Uniformity Reference Scale and methodology used did not represent the levels of barre intensity found in actual use, making the scale and test method less useful to the industry.
