Is there plagiarism in some submissions to the Academy of Management (AOM) meeting? Is the amount of plagiarism fairly consistent across all categories of submitters? These are the important questions that Benson Honig and Akansha Bedi investigated empirically in their Exemplary Contribution here. Their findings are sobering, and they come at a propitious time for considering ethical practice. I urge everyone who submits papers to the annual AOM meeting and other conferences, to AOM journals and other journals, to attend seriously to what Honig and Bedi are reporting.
