In her article in this issue, "The Silent Majority: Manuscript Rejection and Its Impact on Scholars," Nancy Day (University of Missouri-Kansas City) dissects the experience of rejection in a unique and therapeutic manner. Nearly everyone who has ever submitted an article has experienced manuscript rejection, yet few of us have had any training on dealing with and moving forward after rejection of an article we may have labored over, and we may take its rejection very personally. Never pleasant, when rejection comes pre-tenure, or near promotion time, it can be even more painful. As with so many AMLE articles, "The Silent Majority" is a must read for doctoral students, assistant professors, and seasoned faculty alike.
