Walter Earl Fluker's book. Ethical Leadership: The Quest for Character, Civility, and Community, is timely and highly relevant given recent business failures, corporate scandals and, as the author points out, "a presidential campaign that degenerated into character assassination based on race, religion, and unresolved cultural wars" (vii). While this book is not a quick fix for what's wrong in business and society, a model of ethical leadership that can provide some ethically based strategic direction for students and leaders is in great demand.
