Washington, D.C. - Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy David Kautter took over as acting commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service in early November. Kautter formerly worked for the accounting firms RSM US and Ernst & Young and was confirmed for his position at the Treasury Department in August. He succeeded John Koskinen when Koskin-en's term ended on Nov. 12.
