摘要

The nonprofit sector isn't what it used to be - and that's a good thing, according to many industry sources. Thanks in part to advancements in software, technology and an economy that has largely rebounded from the financial crisis of the late 2000s, nonprofits are showing a willingness to invest, and it's a movement that is spelling opportunities for many within the accounting industry. "You are finally starting to see organizations that got back on track programmatically now getting back to investing in the back end, the accounting office, whether that's new software, whether it is taking it to the next level in terms of automated processes … There is just more of a willingness to invest," said Matt Yezukevich, consulting director at Top 100 Firm BlumShapiro in Quincy, Mass., which is a registered sales and service partner of nonprofit accounting software developer AccuFund.
