The paperless office is the future of accounting firms. By doing away with paper and using electronic files, accountants are able to access client files from any location with internet access, resulting in increased revenue and billable hours as well as improved client service. However, many accountants wonder how to develop a paperless mindset for their business and are not aware of the tools and products that are available to make this transition. KAWG&F, P.A., a Maryland-based regional certified public accounting and consulting firm serving clients throughout the mid-Atlantic, was one of the first accounting firms in the Baltimore metropolitan region to convert to a "paperless" office, once realizing the impact that advances in technology could have on improving overall function of daily accounting activities and, whose team of CPAs have learned many things along the way.
