There aren't a lot of publicly held companies that break out meaningful details about the outlook for the tax and accounting market each year as the numbers are buried in large companies' and aren't material to results. But the numbers that are available point to corporate expectations of decent revenue growth for 2008 over 2007 and a general improvement in earnings. Microsoft, which plays in both the corporate and consumer markets, expects things to continue going well for its fiscal year ending June 30, 2008. That year got off with a bang in the first quarter ended Sept. 30. For 2008, it foresees healthy sales of personal computers driving its growth. At its Investors' Day in August, it said those sales will end 2007 up 10 percent to 12 percent over last year's shipments, while the company is forecasting growth in PC sales of another 9 percent to 12 percent in its fiscal 2008.
