摘要

Loosely defined, predatory publishing is the practice of unscrupulous publishers who exploit writers and use aggressive and dubious practices for financial gain. Libraries are starting to employ measures to inform their faculty and staff to avoid these pitfalls. Workshops, seminars, LibGuides, and articles have been several of the tools used by librarians to enlighten and instruct researchers and faculty seeking to publish original research. In addition, electronic resources such as Cabell's International database, which uses White and Black lists, can be used to weed out unsavory publication solicitations.
