摘要

The ERM Ideas and Innovations column for this issue is coauthored by me, Assistant Director for Electronic Resources Management at the University of Maryland University College Library; Randy Lowe, Collection Development, Acquisitions & Serials Librarian at the Lewis J. Ort Library, Frostburg State University; and Charles (Chuck) Thomas, Executive Director of the University System of Maryland & Affiliated Institutions (USMAI) consortium. Randy and I have worked with Chuck on electronic resources management (ERM) matters since 2013 when we were tasked with other USMAI colleagues to write a white paper on future ERM initiatives and when cochairs of the consortiums ERM subgroups, the Group Licensing & Contracts Subgroup (GLCS) and the Resources Selection & Acquisition Subgroup (RSAS), which were later merged into the Resources Acquisitions and Licensing Subgroup (RALS). His constant support for ERM work in the USMAI helped Randy and I establish the foundation for ERM change management and innovations that are in evidence today. As a result, the changes to ERM processes for the USMAI are the most significant that Randy and I have ever experienced as ERM librarians.
