The issue with e-books for librarians is that it is, really, the Wild West. There are a multitude of standards, vendors, technologies, and assessment tools. It is difficult for a librarian to know what is what. In E-Books in Libraries: A Practical Guide, editors Price and Havergal provide just that, a useful and well written guide-13 chapters written by various librarians and other experts-to the world of e-books that cuts the confusion and gives some clear direction in this area of librarianship.
