The topological evolution during coupled grain growth and Ostwald ripening in volume-conserved two-phase polycrystalline systems was studied in two dimensions (2-D), employing computer simulations based on a continuum diffuse-interface field model. The topological distributions were found to scale with time, but dependent on the ratios of grain boundary energies to the interphase boundary energy, the volume fractions and the initial microstructures.
