摘要

Clinical studies have provided evidence that inhaled NO acutely improves oxygen exchange in many hypoxemic neonatal, pediatric and adult patients during mechanical ventilation. Randomized studies in newborn patients with hypoxemic respiratory failure as well as pulmonary hypertension have demonstrated improved oxygenation with 20-80 ppm inhaled NO and a significant reduction in the need for ECMO with 20/100 -30/100. Randomized studies in adult patients with acute lung injury have shown that a majority of patients improve oxygen exchange when exposed to inhaled NO 5-80 ppm, however, mortality was not altered.
