In this Full Paper, as featured on the front cover of the latest Advanced Functional Materials, Professor Greg G. Qiao et al. describe the use of the breath figure technique in the preparation of highly ordered, porous honeycomb-shaped films. Dendron-functionalized star polymers are used as precursors, and dramatically different film morphologies can be produced through modifications of the dendritic end groups; a processrnresulting in a library of polymers with different functional group types and amounts.
