Surface modification is a popular technique used in a wide variety of applications. Recently, many studies have employed atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) to grow polymer brushes from various surfaces for special surface properties.rnTo achieve better understanding of this process, a detailed physical picture of surface-initiated ATRP (s-ATRP) is described by S. Zhu et al. A comprehensive kinetic model is developed using the method of moment.
