摘要

Carbon nitrides are promising candidates to complement carbon in diverse materials applications, and can exist in several allotropes that have diverse properties. Graphitic C_3N_4 (g-C3N4) is considered the most stable allotrope in ambient conditions, and there are a large number of articles concerning the synthesis of g-C_3N_4 and its derivatives.rnRecently, the thermal polycondensation of common organic monomers was used to synthesize various nanostructured g-C_3N_4 materials with high surface areas. It was found that g-C_3N_4 exhibits high chemical stability and an appealing electronic structure, being a wide-bandgap semiconductor.
