So here we are, on the edge of leaving the European Union: its timing dependent on a sequence of Parliamentary votes. At the time of writing we are still in the dark about the exact nature of our departure. Mrs May lost her bid to deliver a deal; a 'no deal' scenario may well be passed but nothing is certain. The best we can hope for is some form of deal based on a two-year transition or a stark break with all the links, regulations and conveniences of 40 years or so of membership. And the terms of the break do matter, for aerospace manufacturing and aviation links alike.
