On the evening of Tuesday 4 October the Lord Mayor of Oxford, Mohammed Altaf-Khan, unveiled an Aeronautical Heritage Award in acknowledgement of the exploits of James Sadler. The RAeS plaque, which is mounted in the foyer of the Oxford Town Hall next to the entry of the new museum facility, was generously sponsored by Airbus Helicopters UK. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Roy Sadler, a direct descendant; Mark Davies, historian and biographer of James Sadler; Simon Paterson, Station Commander RAF Benson; Colin James, Airbus Helicopters' UK Managing Director; Sir Stephen Dalton, RAeS President-Elect and Bill Tyack, Heritage Scheme Chairman.
