An investigation has begun into a fatal accident at Kazan Airport in the Republic of Tatarstan which saw 50 people killed when a Tatarstan Airlines 737-500 crashed during a go-around on 17 November. Airport cameras, which caught the moment of impact, showed a near vertical dive into the ground at high speed with no survivors. Initial findings from the aircraft's data recorder show that the pilots attempted to perform a go-around.
