As I retire from Boeing I can look back, as well as forward, and appreciate the significance of the partnership between the UK and the world's leading aerospace and defence company. The past has been filled with many memorable achievements and the future looks very bright. I have been with Boeing for nine years but the partnership is steeped in much greater history than that It was particularly pleasing to be in this role last year as the company celebrated 75 years of partnership with the UK. From the deal to supply the Air Ministry with 200 Harvard training aircraft from our legacy company North American in 1938, through to the delivery of the first 787 for a UK airline, Thomson Airways, and the first flight of the Boeing-Royal Aeronautical Society Schools Build-a-Plane Challenge aircraft and our refurbishment of the Bill Boeing Lecture Theatre at No.4 Hamilton Place, 2013 in the UK was a year to remember.
