Boeing's hydrogen-powered Phantom Eye UAV demonstrator made its first autonomous flight from Edwards Air Force Base, California, on 1 June. The UAV, designed to stay on station for up to four days, made a 28-minute flight to begin with. However the aircraft sustained minor damage on landing when its landing gear dug into the ground.
