Between 9-13 February, Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangalore hosted the eighth Aero India biennial air show and exhibition. From its origins as Avia-India in 1993, the five-day event has now expanded to showcase around 675 exhibitors (up 16% from the previous show in 2009), 295 of which were from India and 380 from 29 other countries, eight national pavilions and 63 chalets. The organisers estimated the number of business attendees at close to 75,000, compared to 50,000 in 2009.
