The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has warned that the current weak global economy could lead to a 29% fall in airline profits in 2012 from $6-9bn this year to $4-9bn. IATA also expressed concerns over the potential negative economic impact of the European Union's implementation of its carbon emissions trading system.
