A CRJ100 regional jet with 15 people aboard crashed into the VIP lounge at Kigali Airport in Rwanda on 13 November, killing a passenger. The 50-seat Rwandair aircraft is reported to have returned to the airport on 12 November after experiencing technical problems shortly after taking off on a flight to Uganda. The aircraft landed safely, taxied to a parking area and then moved off again at auto full power, colliding with the technical building.
