The eighth annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE), held from 20-22 May in Geneva, Switzerland, was bigger and better than ever. Organised by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), the three-day event was attended by 13,692 visitors, a 21.5% increase over 11,267 in 2007. A record 440 exhibitors occupied 1,958 booth spaces at Geneva PALEXPO while the static display at Geneva Airport comprised 60 aircraft and three mock-ups. Cessna ended the EBACE show with $750m of new orders for 88 aircraft. The company took orders for 70 Citation business jets, 14 Caravans and four single-engine pistons. Austrian charter specialists JetAlliance ordered 24 biz-jets while a further 20 Citation Mustangs were ordered by Russian air taxi operator Dexter.
