South Africa's High Court has declared Eskom the winner in its dispute with the National Energy Regulator of SA (Nersa) over electricity prices for 2022 and 2023. It ordered Nersa to review the tariff increase proposed by the state-owned electricity giant, which it had refused to do since March, on the grounds that Eskom had used an outdated pricing methodology. This has been in place since 2006 and Nersa has not made any other methodology available.
