摘要

Four different bullock drawn puddlers were tested under wet sandy clay loam soil conditions and the comparative performance was evaluated from mechanical, ergonomi-cal and economical aspects. It was found that the improved rotary pud-dler gave better performance. The puddling index, draft requirement, vibration level and energy expenditure rate were, respectively, 67.9 %, 42.3 kg, 0.910 RMS/acc. m/s~2 and 5.02 kcal/min. The work load was graded as moderately heavy. The cost of operation for two passes was calculated to be Rs.224.00/ha.
