The AEU1 Series of explosion-proof elec tric air heaters is designed for industrial applications to provide primary or sup plementary heating for comfort or freeze protec tion in areas classified as hazardous locations (gas or dust atmospheres). The three cabinet sizes include the ExCaliber~(TM) high-performance liquid-to-air heat exchanger cores that are available in 14 400-V, 50-Hz models from 5-30 kW to meet customer-specific heat output require ments at supply voltages between 380-440 V, and 14 480-V, 60-Hz models. The rugged and versatile AEU1 heater incorporates a high-quality immersion heater, International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) motor connected by cable and cable glands for easy field replace ment, a sturdy 2-mm (14 gauge) steel cabinet with epoxy/polyester powder coating for corro sion resistance, large control enclosure with an extra port for convenient wiring of an external room thermostat, and enclosure 0-rings to mini mize moisture ingress.
