The US Air Force has delivered Cessna Grand Caravans to Cameroon and Chad, for use in the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) role. Cameroon's two machines transited Gran Canaria on January 12 and Chad's two passed through on November 30, 2017. Cessna and L-3 Communications were awarded contracts in 2016 for the aircraft and L-3 was contracted to configure the aircraft for the ISR role.
