The UKR-RT electronic intelligence (ELINT) pod for the Russian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-34 Fullback has started testing, according to the Russian state news service Novosti. This centreline pod is intended to provide targeting capability for weapons delivery or jamming capability while using a realtime datalink to share its information simultaneously, using a downsized version of the M410 system on board Tupolev Tu-214R ELINT aircraft. Russia is also developing a pod for its tactical aircraft, including the Su-34, containing GLONASS navigation capabilities, an electro-optical sensor and a laser target designator/ rangefinder.
