Embraer is set to be involved in the 2016 edition of the Boeing ecoDemonstrator Program. An aircraft provided by the Brazilian manufacturer will be the platform for next year's round of tests in the American company's on-going initiative to trial new technologies to reduce the environmental impact of commercial aircraft. The type Embraer will provide and the scope of the tests has yet to be announced. The partnership builds on existing co-operation between the two manufacturers, which includes the Embraer KC-390 transport and biofuel research.
