Japanese low-cost start-up A&F Aviation will commence operations in the second half of fiscalyear 2011 after it announced it would take delivery of ten Airbus A320s leased from GE Capital Aviation Services within two years. A tetter of intent was signed for the first aircraft in February. All will be powered by CFM International CFM56s and configured for 180 passengers in a single-class layout.
