Azerbaijan cargo carrier Silk Way Airlines celebrates ten years of operations during 2011. To mark the m//estone its aircraft have been adorned with the titles '10 Years in the Sky' on the rear fuselage, llyushin II-76TD-90VD 4K-AZ101 (c 2073421716) is seen landing at Cologne Bonn Airport on July 25. The freighter picked up supplies for the German contingent in Afghanistan. Previous flights had used Neubrandenburg, but runway work there forced a change of venue to Cologne from July 25. Silk Way, based at Baku, commenced operations on October 6, 2001, primarily flying between Europe and Asia, with its name reflecting the ancient 'silk road' trade routes.
