On July 29 the US Forest Service (USFS) terminated a five-year contract for six fire-fighting Lockheed P-3 Orions that it had signed in 2008 with Aero Union of Sacramento, California. Aero Union had informed the USFS in April that its aircraft did not comply with the safety standards of the USFS, and so the deal was terminated. Seen on August 13 at McClellan Field, California, is P-3A N927AU (ex-BuNo 151369), which was parked up along with six other Aero Union Orions - which have not flown since the beginning of August.
