Xiamen Airlines of China has taken delivery of the first Boeing 737NG incorporating the High-Altitude/High-Temperature Airport Operations Feature Package and Sky Interior. The package increases the thrust rating of the airliner's CFM International CFM56s, provides additional oxygen and enhanced navigation at high-altitude airports. The aircraft (737-75C B-5279, c 36766, ex N1797B) departed Boeing Field/King County International Airport on July 29 for Honolulu International, Hawaii, on its delivery flight to China. It will operate from airports on the Tibetan plateau.
