Bell Helicopter's Model 407GX has been certificated by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) following its approval by Transport Canada earlier this year. Since the 407GX was introduced in February, Bell has taken more than 60 orders and expects to make initial deliveries before the end of the year. The 407GX is currently the only helicopter equipped with Garmin's G1000H integrated glass flight deck that features two 10.4in (264mm) high-resolution LCD displays with an intuitive, easy-scan layout and an integrated avionics system that presents flight instrumentation, navigation, communication and identification information. Integrated safety features include: traffic information system; helicopter synthetic vision technology and moving map display.
