RUSSIAN AVIATION can be found throughout this month's packed issue. The big theme is Sukhoi's current range of fighter aircraft: the Su-30 Flanker-C, Su-35S Flanker-E and the new-generation Su-57 PAK FA. Elsewhere we feature two reports from major Russian aviation events. Aviadarts is an annual Russian Air Force competition for its types of combat aircraft and helicopters; this year's event also involved Belarussian, Chinese and Kazakh fighters and helicopters. MAKS is Russia's massive biennial aviation expo held at Zhukovsky airfield near Moscow; this year's event included debut appearances by new versions of fighter aircraft and helicopters, and was attended by over 850,000 people.
