INTERMOUNTAIN LIFE Flight will add a sixth Leonardo AW109 GrandNew light twin helicopter to its air ambulance service. The Utah-based organisation provides helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) coverage in the Intermountain West region of the western United States. It undertakes around 4,000 flights a year and is the only civilian-operated air ambulance service in the US approved by the Federal Aviation Administration to conduct external load hoist rescue missions.
