THE USAF has started modifying the first of two Boeing 747-8s that will serve as a new flying White House. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) began upgrading the aircraft to VC-25B standard on February 25. The AFLCMC's Presidential and Executive Airlift Directorate is managing the programme, with Boeing conducting the work at its modification facility in San Antonio, Texas.
