British charter and ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) carrier Titan Airways has leased a British Aerospace BAe 146-300 from BAE Systems at short notice to fulfil an urgent Ministry of Defence contract in the Middle East. The regional airliner will be used to fly betweenrnBahrain, Muscat in Oman and Minhad in the United Arab Emirates several times a week, carrying around 45 passengers and freight. The lease is for an initial period of six months with an option to extend. Details of the contract were released by BAE Systems on November 30.
