A ceremony was held at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Townsville in Queensland on November 20 to mark the handover of the Australian Army Air Corps' (AAAC) three Hawker Beechcraft Beech 350s to the RAAF. The aircraft were previously flown by No.173 Air Surveillance Squadron and have been transferred to the RAAFs No.38 Squadron. A further five new King Air 350s will be delivered for the unit in the first half of 2010. All are leased from Hawker Pacific. The end of AAAC King Air operations leaves the Corps with an all-helicopter fleet.
