The first four Embraer A-29B Super Tucanos for the Chilean Air Force were handed over at the manufacturer's facility at Sao Jose dos Campos in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in late December. A further eight are due to be delivered under the terms of the contract announced in August 2008. The aircraft will be used as tactical trainers by the Chilean Air Force. In addition to the airframes, Chile has ordered a Training and Operation Support System package, comprising a mission planning station, a mission debriefing station and flight simulator. Embraer will also supply an integrated logistic support package.
