Salvamento Mantimo (SASEMAR), the Spanish Maritime Safety Agency, has ordered an additional AgustaWestland AWT 39. The helicopter will be equipped with a dual rescue hoist, forward looking infrared camera, search/weather radar and emergency flotation system, and will be used for search and rescue, as well as pollution detection roles. It will join seven others in service, the first three of which were ordered in January 2006. Details of the latest deal were released on July 20.
